SHIPPING, DUTIES AND TAXES
Due to ongoing global supply and demand issues, all shipping costs across the Pole Bicycles website are subject to change at any time. Pole Bicycle Company reviews shipping costs on a regular basis and we endeavor to provide the best possible service at the most affordable price.
Shipping of E-bikes and their components are classified as hazardous goods. Shipping of hazardous goods is notoriously difficult and costs for this service fluctuate regularly and often.
Unfortunately, all changes in shipping costs are outside of Pole Bicycles control and set by the service providers we use.
For all orders placed by deposit, final shipping costs will be calculated at the time of final invoicing and will be due on receipt of the invoice.
Shipments inside European Union
All shipments inside the EU will be taxed at the local country VAT rate and will be delivered without any additional duties.
International Shipments
All shipments outside the European Union may be subject to import charges (Duties, Customs tariffs, and VAT) which are set by the destination country. They are based on the purchased merchandise’s country of origin/manufacturing and the classification of that merchandise.
Your carrier will collect your import charges upon delivery to you.
Pole Bicycle Company ships your package “Duties & Taxes Unpaid” (DDU), we will not be able to predict what your particular charges may be.
We use your package weight and product shipping restrictions to match your order with a carrier; we’re unable to request a specific carrier.
Any customs duties, taxes (including but not limited to VAT if applicable), penalties, storage charges, or other expenses we incur as a result of the actions of customs or other governmental authorities or your failure and/or the receiver’s failure to provide proper documentation and/or to obtain the required license or permit will be charged to you or the receiver of the shipment. In the event that we decide to charge the receiver and the receiver refuses to pay the incurred charges you agree to pay them to us together with our fee for the administration involved as well as any extra costs we will incur. Upon our first request, you will provide a proper guarantee for any of the duties, taxes, penalties, storage charges, or any other expenses set out in this condition.
UK customers
After Britain’s withdrawal from the EU on 1st January 2021, all orders entering the United Kingdom are subject to British VAT set at 20%. Customs duties will also be applicable to all orders entering through British borders.
The current duty amounts (29/11/2022) payable for items from the Pole Bicycles range are;
Voima – E-MTB (Commodity Code 8711601000) = 6%. The duty charges can be calculated via the GOV.UK website here.

Finnish Post (Posti)
EMS (Express Mail Service) is our standard service for deliveries. It is a cost-effective, scheduled transport service to all addresses in more than 180 countries. Items are always tracked and they are transported abroad separately from other mail using the fastest transport alternatives available.

In other countries; 2-10 working days
Due to individual international country regulations regarding import Customs and Duties, shipping times can be extended significantly.
The estimated arrival date is not included in this service.
Pole Bicycles Oy and EMS/Posti are not responsible for any delivery delays arising from Customs inspections or other measures in the country of destination.

Items will be delivered to the recipient’s address.
Post office box addresses cannot be used.

The estimated mailing date is sometimes included and shared with the customer by DHL.
